Woman targetted by fake garda in enniscorthy

Another woman has been terrorised by a fake Garda patrol operation in the Enniscorthy area. It happened shortly after 9 o'clock on Saturday night at Monart East near Caim when the female driver was followed by a car which displayed blue flashing lights. The driver pulled over and was approached by a man who looked like a Garda. He accused her of a minor traffic offence. He then proceeded to rob her of cash, a moblie phone and other possessions. Gardai in Enniscorthy are appealing for any further information and can be contacted on 053 9233534. It comes after a similar incident was reported to Gardaí in Wexford a number of weeks ago.
