Workers at 8 tesco stores are on strike today

Workers at eight Tesco stores are picketing their branches in a long-running row over pay.

Tesco sought to change the contracts of staff hired before 1996, but around 250 workers are resisting the changes they say will leave them out of pocket. Tesco wants the 250 remaining pre-1996 staff to accept a recommendation from the Labour Court.
