We brought you all the reaction as Kilanerin kept their Leinster football championship dream alive with a dramatic victory over Newtown Blues in the first round. Match winner Sean Forde, star player Niall Hughes and boss Padraig Murphy joined us to talk through the final few moments and the challenge that lies ahead.
We looked back on what was ultimately a disappointing season for Wexford FC as the club finished 8th in the table and well out of the playoff spots in the end. Despite that, boss Stephen Elliott told us why he's feeling optimistic for the future, why moving training back to Wexford was a big win for his boys and why the success of the Wexford CBS team means there is a wonderful future for our soccer players ahead.
We also be paid to one of Ireland's greatest ever athletes. Ciara Mageen who tragically passed away at the far too young age of 34 after bravely battling stage four bowel cancer. A true inspiration and leader, the Portadown woman never let her illness phase her and she continued to fight the good fight right until the very end. Friend of the show Will Downing watched Ciara's career from the very beginning so shared some of his memories and we heard a little from athletics doyen Cathal Dennehy about both Ciara the athlete and Ciara the woman.
