Exclusive Interview With World Masters Pool Champion Denny Bookle

As part of our Sunday Sports Hour show, we caught up with a young man who recently picked up his second world title in the game of pool.

17 year old Denny Bookle from Cassagh is a rising star in the sport and represented his county and country with pride when bringing home the top prize from the IEPF World Eight-Ball Pool Championships at the Aqua Mirage Resort in Marrakech, Morocco.

In this extended interview, we spoke about his rapid ascent to the top of the game, his influence on the pool community in Wexford, future plans with the Leaving Cert breathing down his neck and whether a sideways step into snooker could be on the cards.

Denny was supported by his uncle Paul Morrissey who first helped him get into the sport and told us about the pride his family feels at having a world champion in their midst.
