A Gorey gym has been crowned the first-ever TRYKA Fittest Gym Champion after finishing top of the national leaderboard following the competition’s Grand Finale in Lisbon.
The Stables Fitness & Wellbeing secured the TRYKA Series 1 Gym League title, beating competition from gyms across Ireland and beyond.
The victory follows a hugely successful international season, which included four sold-out Dublin events, a London race and the Grand Finale in Portugal.
Gyms earned points throughout the season based on participation and performance, with The Stables finishing ahead of Anatomic Fitness and FlyeFit.
Co-owner Patrick Syme described the achievement as a proud moment for the Gorey fitness community.
"What made it special was seeing people of all levels get involved, train together, support each other and represent The Stables with such pride," he said.
"We are hugely proud to bring the trophy and title back to Wexford."
TRYKA founder Brian Lee praised the gym's commitment and community spirit, describing its victory as a fantastic achievement.
The competition's second series gets underway at the RDS in Dublin from October 30th to November 1st, with thousands of competitors and spectators expected to attend.
