At least 100 people have been killed and many more injured in one of India's worst rail disasters. Authorities fear more people could be trapped after a passenger train came off the tracks near Kanpur city in the north of the country. The country's government says a investigation into the cause would begin immediately. India's railway system has a poor safety record, with thousands killed each year in accidents. The rail system is under-funded because the government won't approve increased ticket prices:
