2 new positions to be created at wexford county council for housing
Two new senior housing postions are to come on stream at Wexford County Council. The jobs are to help to speed up the county's social housing building programme. The Minister for the Environment Alan Kelly is providing for 200 such positions across the country as the government struggles to meet housing demands in many areas. Its part of the six-year Social Housing Strategy to provide 35,000 new social housing units over the next five years. Wexford Fine Gael County Councillor Jim Moore says any move that would help to alleviate the situation with regard to housing is very welcome. He says one of the big challenges is that there are short-term remedies but we need long-term planning.
