2025 was the second warmest year on record in Ireland. In its Annual Climate Statement, Met Éireann says the past four years have been the warmest ever recorded. Wexford’s Johnstown Castle station recorded its second wettest year with over 1,300 mm of rainfall and saw its wettest November on record with 66.9 mm on November 14th. Wexford also experienced the lowest January minimum temperature since 2010 and recorded high daily sunshine totals with 1,721.4 hours of sunshine the second highest in Ireland.
