New research shows almost half of Irish men believe inaccurate myths around the causes of cancer.
A study carried out by UCC has found between 45 and 52 per cent think - tight underwear, carrying a mobile in your trouser pocket and extended use of laptops increases the risk of testicular cancer. The researchers say it proves more straight forward and evidence-based information is needed about the causes of the disease. The study was conducted with Breakthrough Cancer Research.
