Irish businesses have lost out on tens of millions of euro so far this month because of "alarmist" weather warnings from Met Eireann.
That's according to industry group Retail Excellence Ireland, which claims wind and rain alerts are putting people off shopping in store. Chief Executive David Fitzsimons says many businesses are taking a big hit to their profits.
