Almost 3,200 on housing waiting list in county wexford
The housing crisis in County Wexford is getting worse according to the Chair of Wexford County Council. Malcolm Byrne says the county's housing list has increased by at least 10 percent over the past 2 years and now stands at almost 3,200. He's described the maximum allowable rent allowance in County Wexford of 500 euro as totally inadequate. It comes as the latest government figures show there were 34 homeless people in the county in April. Councillor Byrne says urgent action is required.
