Wexford County Council could take back the county's bin service following Dublin City Council's decision to do so.
That's according to the Cathoirleach of the Council, FF's Michael Sheehan. On Monday evening, Dublin City Council voted to take back control of the household waste collection services across the capital. They say there has been an 11% jump in the price of collections since the service was privatised in 2012, while there has also been an increase in illegal dumping across the capital. Councillor Sheehan says this is something Wexford County Council will be looking at closely over the next few months as illegal dumping remains a huge problem in the county.
