Browne criticises government over increase in cost of living
A Wexford Fianna Fáil TD has criticised the Government following an increase in the cost of living. John Browne says the CSO has specifically pointed to increases in the cost of private health insurance and the impact of the property tax as the main drivers behind a 3.2 per cent increase in the area of ‘Miscellaneous Goods * Services’. There was also a 2 per cent jump in the price of "Services" such as Electricity and Gas. Deputy Browne says the higher costs are the direct result of ministerial failings. He says the Government have introduced a lot of the charges including the property tax and have supported increases in services such as gas.
