Burglary in Wexford Town Down 42% as Gardaí Continue Crime Prevention Measures

Burglary incidents in Wexford Town have fallen by 42% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest figures.

Gardaí say the reduction reflects ongoing targeted patrols and crime prevention initiatives aimed at tackling burglary and supporting the safety of residents, families, and local businesses.

Each burglary prevented means one less household or business facing the disruption, stress, and financial impact that can follow a break-in.

Gardaí are continuing to encourage the public to take simple steps to help protect their homes and premises, including:

  • Always locking doors and windows, even when leaving for a short period.
  • Ensuring valuables are kept secure and out of sight.
  • Reporting any suspicious activity to Gardaí.

Members of the public are reminded that if Garda assistance is needed in an emergency, they should call 999 or 112.
