Call for economic development measures to be introduced in co. wexford
There has been a call for the Government to implement measures for the economic development of rural areas in County Wexford. Fianna Fáil local election candidate in Enniscorthy Barbara-Anne Murphy made the call following the publication of a report by the Commission for the Economic Development of Rural areas last week. It comes after a recent Teagasc survey found Bunclody to be the worst affected rural town in Ireland as a result of the recession. Barbara-Anne Murphy says recommendations in the report need to be implemented to allow County Wexford to develop economically.
