Concern has been raised about the rising wild deer population in County Wexford.
Deer have been responsible for at least three road accidents in South Wexford in the past number of months. Such is the rise in the number of deer grazing in the countryside that wild deer warning signs have now been placed on the N25 Wexford to Rosslare road. There is also evidence that wild deer can increase the spread of Lyme Disease due to the tick that spreads the disease accompanying them.
