A Courtown lottery player has woken up half a million euros richer this morning (Saturday).
A EuroMillions Plus ticket bought in the seaside town has scooped the game’s top prize of €500,000. The Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Wednesday at the Gala Express in Courtown Harbour, ahead of Friday night’s draw. The winner matched all five numbers - 5, 21, 26, 27 and 40, to claim the prize. Meanwhile, the EuroMillions jackpot of more than €197 million went unclaimed.
