Eu has 'moral duty' to address migrant disasters in the mediterranean
One of the EU top bosses says the union has a "moral duty" to address the continuing migrant disasters in the Mediterranean. The EU Foreign Policy Chief, Frederica Mogherini, says the bloc has "no more excuses" not to act after the latest boat capsized drowning 950 people. She is attending an emergency foreign ministers' meeting in Luxembourg, and explains what needs to happen urgently. "Build together a common sense of European responsibility, knowing that there is no easy solution, there is no magical solution but there is a responsibility that we have to exercise together as Europeans and in a consistent and coherent way" she said.
