The Ferrymountgarret Bridge will reopen to traffic at 6pm today, Thursday August 27th, following a closure which caused significant disruption for residents, commuters and businesses in the New Ross area.
Kilkenny County Council says works will recommence on Tuesday, September 1st, when a traffic management system will be put in place for approximately one month.
The remaining works will include concrete and parapet repairs, along with the installation of public lighting.
The Council has thanked local residents, businesses and road users for their patience and understanding throughout the works.
