Former wexford councillor wants more colleagues not more pay

A former Wexford Labour Councillor says talk of increasing pay for Local Authority representatives is not the way to serve the constituents who have voted for them.

Joe Ryan says that since the abolition of town councils the democratic process at local level is not as effective. Mr Ryan says we need more representation instead.
