Former wexford hurling great tim flood dies

One of the greatest hurlers of the 1950's Wexford's Tim Flood has died. The Cloughbawn native played for the Wexford hurlers for 12 years from 1950 until 1962- reaching 6 All Ireland finals and winning 3 in 1955, 1956 and 1960. The 87 year-old made 38 championship appearances scoring 26 goals and 59 points during his playing career. His son Seán was part of the Wexford All Ireland winning team in 1996. Tim Flood was also well know for taking part in sheep dog trials for which he was an All Ireland winner and his skills as a banjo player. He's survived by his wife Kathleen and four children.
