The Garda Representative Association is balloting its members on strike action.
The GRA which represents over 10 thousand rank and file Gardai is asking its members if they're willing to take part in industrial action in a long running row over pay. Members of the force aren't legally permitted to take part in strikes or industrial disputes. Gardai have until close of business on September 26th to make up their minds.
