Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision near Enniscorthy, County Wexford.
The crash happened on the R702 at Curraghgraigue at approximately 11.30am on Monday morning. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following reports of a collision involving a car.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford, and the Coroner has been informed.
The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users travelling on the R702 between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday 18th May, particularly those with dash-cam footage, are being urged to contact investigators.
