Gardai investigate death of a man in offaly
The body of the man in his forties was found at about a quarter to nine in Clara in the townland of Kilbride to the west of Clara village this morning. Local gardaí say he was found in an open drain beside a burnt out caravan at about a quarter past nine this morning. The Office of the State Pathologist was notified shortly afterwards - and Dr Marie Cassidy is at the scene - which has been sealed off for a forensic examination. Gardaí in Clara are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
