Uisce Éireann has announced the completion of over €30 million in upgrades to the Enniscorthy and Wexford Town water supplies
This significant investment has successfully removed both supplies from the Environmental Protection Agency’s vulnerable list, ensuring the continued delivery of safe and reliable water for homes and businesses in the region.
The upgrades include a €19 million project at Enniscorthy’s Regional Water Supply, which involved replacing the raw water intake from the River Slaney, upgrading the Vinegar Hill Water Treatment Plant, and enhancing infrastructure to support future growth.
Meanwhile, the €12.5 million upgrade at Newtown Water Treatment Plant in Wexford Town has modernized essential water treatment processes.
