Gardaí investigating a serious incident in Wexford Town have appealed to the public not to share images or video footage of the incident circulating on social media and messaging platforms.
The incident occurred yesterday, Saturday, and remains under investigation.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána said it is aware that photographs and video relating to the incident are being widely shared online.
Gardaí have urged anyone who receives the material to refrain from forwarding, reposting or otherwise sharing it.
They thanked the public for its cooperation as enquiries continue.
