Gardaí urge Wexford motorists to stay safe as August Bank Holiday roads operation continues

Gardaí in Wexford are reminding motorists to take extra care on the roads as the August Bank Holiday roads policing operation continues across the country.

The operation, which will remain in place until Tuesday, August 4th, is focused on tackling dangerous driving behaviour and improving road safety during what is expected to be a busy period on the roads.

Gardaí say drink and drug driving remains a serious concern, with an average of one motorist arrested every hour during the first six months of this year for driving under the influence.
