Doctors are being urged to educate themselves about medicinal cannabis.
No consultants have applied to use the drug as a treatment according to the Health Minister. Currently a request must be made to the Department of Health before it can be prescribed. Dr. Garrett Mc Govern a GP at the Priority Medical Clinic says medics need to read up on the research.
