Ireland now importing huge amounts of cars from the uk

A record breaking amount of vehicles have been imported into the country this year.

The Society of Irish Motor Industry says around 100 thousand cars will have been brought in in 2018. The weak sterling caused by Brexit has seen the level of imports from the UK skyrocket. SIMI Director Tom Cullen is calling for emergency legislation to be introduced in case there is a hard Brexit.
