Kilmore quay fishermen struggling to survive
This is due to a combination of fish catches having to be returned to the sea and tight policing of this policy by the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority. That's according to Wexford Sinn Fein Councillor Anthony Kelly who has met with the fishermen on the matter. A delegation of senior officers in Sinn Fein including Deputy president Mary Lou McDonald is to meet with Kilmore fishermen on Thursday of next week. Councillor Kelly was present at one of the recent trawler inpsections in Kilmore Quay by the SFPA. He says the continual inspections amount to harassment and are obstructing the men from carrying out their work.
