Lifeboat involved in rescue off rosslare
A man has been rescued off the coast of County Wexford after his pleasure craft got into difficulty during the early hours of this morning. The man, who was onboard alone, was not injured. Rosslare Lifeboat received a distress call just after midnight and immediately launched. The crew travelled to the yacht, which was 29 miles North East of Rosslare Harbour. The man was en-passage from Dun Laoghaire to Kilmore Quay when he got into difficulty. Dave Maloney from Rosslare Lifeboat says they reached the man, who had lost power and had mechanical problems, at 2am this morning. He was then brought to shore at around 7am.
