Man in intensive care after crashing stolen ambulance
A man is in intensive care in hospital after a stolen ambulance crashed into a bus in County Louth. The ambulance was taken from the grounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda - and was driven down the Ballynakenny Road where it crashed into a coach. There were no passengers in the coach at the time - the driver is reportedly uninjured but very shaken following the collision. However, the man driving the stolen ambulance was seriously injured in the crash and has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.
