A new children’s book is celebrating Wexford in a magical way by bringing the classic story of Beauty and the Beast into familiar local surroundings.
A Wexford Fairytale features well-known locations from across the county, giving the traditional tale a distinctly Wexford setting.
The book has been written by local author and Book Centre bookseller Amy Devereux, with illustrations by award-winning Wexford artist Lauren O’Neill.
The pair are joining South East Radio to talk about the inspiration behind the book and how they have brought Wexford’s landmarks and character to life for young readers.
