The first trams will be tested on the new Luas line in Dublin this weekend.
Four years after works began on the cross city service it's hoped the route will bring an additional 10 million people into capital each year. The news that the line is ready to undergo testing is being welcomed by retailers - with DublinTown saying the co-operation between all authorities has seen an increase in traffic despite the works.
