The Education Minister says there is no intention to extend the school break at Christmas.
Labour has suggested the term could end on December 18th, rather than the 22nd, due to the stress and anxiety staff and students have experienced in recent months. However Norma Foley has told an Oireachtas Committee she doesn't want pupils to miss out on any more class time:
