Pensioner seriously hurt in wexford rta
A pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle on the outskirts of Wexford town yesterday afternoon. The pedestrian - a man in his late 70s - was hit by a reversing van whilst out walking close to his home in Crosstown on Ferrybank at around 4.30pm. He received serious head injuries and a neighbour who witnessed the accident called the emergency services. An ambulance quickly arrived and the man was removed to Wexford General Hospital for treatment - he remains there in the Intensive Care unit.
