Poll: fianna fail leader most popular party leader
A new opinion poll puts Fine Gael 10 points ahead of Fianna Fail with three days of canvassing left in the General Election. However the Red C/Paddy Power poll shows Fianna Fail Leader Micheal Martin soaring ahead as the most popular party leader. It was carried out between last Thursday and Sunday with 1,002 people surveyed. The poll shows Fine Gael on 30% - no change on the last Red C poll for the Sunday Business post taken three days earlier. Fianna Fail are on 20%, up two. Labour are on 7%, down one, and Sinn fein are on 15%, down one. The Social democrats are on 4%, with independents on 28%, no change. As for the most popular party leader, Micheal Martin has risen from 33% to 54% while Enda Kenny has also risen from 41% to 47%. Gerry Adams is on 30%, down three, while Joan Burton is on 30%, up one.
