Rosslare Europort has been recognised for outstanding commercial performance and customer service at the annual Iarnród Éireann Customer Experience Excellence Awards, with three Wexford-based award recipients and finalists celebrated at the national ceremony.
The Rosslare Europort Management Team took home the Commercial Excellence Award at the event, held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin last week.
Now in their fourth year, the awards recognise staff and teams who go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service to passengers and colleagues across the Irish Rail network.
The awards were presented by Iarnród Éireann Chief Executive Mary Considine.
The Rosslare Europort Management Team was praised for successfully combining commercial growth with improved customer experiences during a period of significant change and development at the port.
Judges highlighted the team's ability to maintain a customer-focused service while managing the challenges of operating a busy port around the clock, particularly during major construction works.
The team was recognised for having "combined commercial growth with smoother customer journeys in a complex 24/7 port operation at a time of great change in the port."
The judges also commended the management team's commitment to prioritising customers throughout the ongoing development of the facility.
Philip O'Brien, General Manager of Rosslare Europort, represented the management team at the awards ceremony, where the accolade was presented by Mary Considine and Iarnród Éireann Director of Commercial Business Units Glenn Carr.
Two other Rosslare Europort employees were also recognised for their contributions to customer service.
Joseph Sinnott, a Customer Service Officer working on the Rosslare to Dublin rail line, was named a finalist in the Onboard Staff category.
He was recognised for his efforts to improve passenger announcements and customer engagement, helping to create a better travel experience for those using the service.
Meanwhile, Mairead Kearns, based at Rosslare Europort, received a Highly Commended award in the Station Staff category.
She was praised for her dedication to maintaining a welcoming and well-presented environment at the port, along with her continued focus on delivering a positive experience for customers.
