Sky is stepping up its crackdown on illegal streaming services, with follow-up legal letters now being issued to users who failed to respond to settlement offers sent last month.
The broadcaster had contacted around 200 suspected users of so-called "dodgy boxes", many of them in County Wexford, asking them to sign a legally binding undertaking not to use illegal IPTV services again.
Sky says it has received a positive response from many recipients, but has warned that those who fail to comply could face court injunctions, damages and legal costs.
The action follows a High Court order which allowed Sky to obtain customer details linked to an illegal streaming operation based in County Wexford.
