If you’ve never seen skittles played before, you’re in for something a little different. The South East Skittles League is continuing to grow in popularity, attracting players and supporters from across the region.
The game is played using five sticks, which players throw in an attempt to knock down five pins arranged in a circle. Players begin on a score of 101 and must work their way down to exactly zero in the fewest throws possible, combining skill, accuracy and strategy.
Each match consists of five games. The opening three games are played with full teams of four players, while the final two are doubles matches featuring the strongest pairings from each side.
Among the players involved in the league are Kacper, Glenn, Paddy, Adam and Conor, all helping to grow interest in the sport locally.
The league has developed a strong social side alongside the competition, with more people discovering the game and getting involved each season.
