Sustainability in Focus at Major Enniscorthy Event

Sustainability is set to take centre stage in Enniscorthy this evening, as industry leaders and innovators gather for a major event focused on shaping a greener future.

The event, hosted at GreenTechHQ in Enniscorthy Technology Park, runs from 6pm to 8pm and is supported by County Wexford Chamber as part of the South East Sustainability Cluster initiative.

Organiser Liz McGonigal says the aim of the evening is to highlight practical solutions and forward-thinking ideas that can drive meaningful change across key sectors. Speaking on Morning Mix earlier, she noted that some of the discussions will focus on issues with direct local impact, particularly around environmental risks and resilience.

Four keynote speakers will lead the conversation, each bringing a unique perspective on sustainability in action. Among them is Carmel Duke of Mount Alexander Flowers, who promotes locally grown, sustainable blooms, and Andrea McCann of Redmond Farm, who is advancing innovative farm-to-fork food production.

The event will also explore cutting-edge technology, with Roisin McCormack of GKinetic Energy showcasing developments in clean hydrokinetic energy, while Gavyn Pedley of Flood Predictor will outline how AI-driven forecasting can help communities better anticipate and respond to flood risks, an issue of growing importance in the region.

The evening is expected to offer valuable insights into how sustainability and innovation are shaping the future of business and community life in the South East, all in an accessible and collaborative setting.
