Teenager killed in wexford crash named locally
The 14 year-old teenager who was killed in road traffic accident on the Oulart to Blackwater road last night has been named locally. He was a prominent member of the under age Oulart The Ballagh GAA club. The teenager has been named locally as Conor Byrne from Ballytarsna, Oulart. He was killed when the car his mother was driving collided with a tractor and trailer at Rathhole, about half a mile from their home. The woman's injuries are described as non life threatening, while the driver of the tractor was uninjured. Paramedics attending the scene of the accident tried to resuscitate the 14 year-old but following his removal to Wexford General Hospital he was pronouced dead a short time later.
