The British Prime Minister has suggested she will look for a time limit to the Irish backstop when she meets EU officials on Thursday.
MPs rejected the measure as it could keep the UK in the Customs Union permanently. In a speech in Belfast this afternoon Theresa May promised there will be no return to a hard border in the North and said she's fully committed to the Good Friday agreement.
