The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces visited Enniscorthy yesterday to see for himself the work done by Army personnel during and after Storm Emma.
Major General Kieran Brennan also spoke to people in Bunclody and Wexford. 115 Army officers and 10 specialist vehicles were deployed to County Wexford yesterday to help with the clean up effort. Meanwhile Junior Minister Paul Kehoe says the cabinet has discussed providing funds for local authorities to help those affected most by the recent snow storms.
