Voting is underway across the country in the Local, European and two by-elections. The entire electorate has a chance to choose local Councillors along with MEP's for the next 5 year period. There's a wide variation in the numbers of people coming out to cast their ballot in County Wexford. Figures now stand between 8 and 12 per cent. Usually voting is slow to start but returning officer Marie Garahy says because of the local interest some stations have found an increase in the number of peope voting earlier in the day.
