Community and environmental groups across County Wexford are being encouraged to apply for a share of a €100,000 national grant fund, with applications closing next Monday, November 9th.
The 2026 Circular.ie Communication Grants are designed to support local organisations promoting recycling, repair, reuse and other initiatives aimed at reducing waste.
The funding is available to eligible community groups, non-profit organisations and recognised social initiatives already involved in circular economy activities.
Three levels of funding are being offered:
-
€1,000 to support physical communications, including signage and promotional materials.
-
€5,000 for digital communications, including graphic design and advertising.
-
€10,000 to help organisations expand their reach, including website development.
The grants are intended to help groups raise awareness of their activities, attract more participants and encourage sustainable practices in their communities.
Projects such as upcycling workshops, community repair cafés, refill initiatives and tool-sharing schemes are among those that may be eligible.
Circular.ie is Ireland's national circular economy platform, funded by the Government of Ireland under the Circular Economy Fund.
Welcoming the initiative, Minister of State with responsibility for the Circular Economy, Alan Dillon, highlighted the contribution being made by community organisations in reducing waste and keeping products in use for longer.
He said the funding would help groups communicate the impact of their work and encourage greater public participation.
Eibhlin Fitzpatrick, Community Manager at Circular.ie, said some of Ireland's most innovative circular economy activities were taking place at community level.
She encouraged organisations throughout the country to apply, particularly those seeking to raise awareness and increase engagement with their work.
The deadline for applications is Monday, November 9th, 2026.
Successful applicants are due to be announced on December 7th.
Further information, including eligibility requirements and application details, is available at Circular.ie.
