Wexford man Sean Thompson will receive a Scouting Ireland Honour Award for his bravery in saving a boy from drowning whilst on holidays in Turkey.
Sean, who is a member of 6th Wexford Sea Scouts, found the boy unconscious under the water, rescued him and performed CPR until paramedics arrived. Sean as well as Mollie Powell, a fellow scout, will receive their awards this Saturday, at the Scouting Ireland Youth Achievement Awards in Trinity College Dublin.
