Drug convictions in Ireland's District Courts rose by 5% last year with 5,440 people convicted compared to 5,202 in 2024.
Dublin topped the list with 2,071 convictions, an 11% increase, while other districts like Tullamore and Portlaoise saw significant surges in cases.
In Wexford, however, the number of drug-related convictions dropped by 12.5%, from 88 in 2024 to 77 in 2025.
Despite this decline, the overall trend across Ireland signals a growing concern about drug use
