Wexford suppliers speak out following stena line contract termination
Former Wexford suppliers of Celtic Link Ferries says they're frustrated with the manner in which Stena Line informed them they're contracts were terminated. It follows the takeover of the company during the week in which 14 local suppliers to the ferry were told they would no longer be supplying the ship. Stena Line have put the reason down to costs and their ability to get a better price by buying in bulk but Neil Murphy from Wexford Creamery and Wexford Food Family says they wern't given the chance to supply as a group. He says he spoke to a number of businesses involved and that some were either not informed by letter that they were to re-submit their pricing options or did not get confirmation that they would no longer be supplying the ship.
