A Wexford TD is calling for speed fines and penalty points issued at the static camera in Glenmore to be revoked.
The call comes amid concerns that signage at the location was wholly inappropriate and inadequate.”
Deputy George Lawlor had previously raised the issue in the Dáil, revealing that more than 30,000 fines were issued to drivers in just 11 months.
Many motorists were attempting to comply with speed limits, but were not given a fair opportunity to do so due to poor warning signage.
The Wexord Deputy is now making the call for a full review of the camera and for impacted drivers to have fines and penalty points overturned
